All my life I have been surrounded by strong two x chromosome role models inspiring me with their feminine excellence. They have struggled and fought and succeeded greatly despite the chains and binds of our patriarchal society. They didn't look at their glass ceilings as limits, but as future accomplishments. This is the type of strength I can only aspire to have as a masculine-identifying-person.
every day I want to kneel and beg for forgiveness for the sins of my gender. How could we do this to you? our beautiful mothers, teachers, and HR workers. how could we betray you so greatly? if there is a male loneliness epidemic I know we deserve it, if only to experience 1% of the pain of childbirth and period cramps.
I truly wish I could go back; I wish I could stop amelia earhart from getting on that plane, but I know she wouldn't listen to me, because she is a strong independent woman and wouldn't ever let a man tell her what to do. I wish I could go back to that bus on Dec 1st 1955 and stand up for Rosa Parks (not that she needs anyone to stand up for her or anything) and put my foot down and fulfill my obligation to be a real man and protect my queen, and die if I must.
if you agree with me put your fist in the air and scream out your love for all women and female-identifying-people and all those who stand up against heteronormativity, patriarchy, and eurocentrism.
