Im a distance runner and im always grinding for years i want to run D1 im the second best in the state, but im worreid abt my test production, am i fucked, how can if fix and still run or do i just quit?

i don't think the running itself effects your test that much but being too lean from all that cardio will, take test if your worried or just stay above 10% bodyfat

too much distance puts you in constant high cortisol and cortisol eats test, also i loveeee abs and vascularity. taking test inst a bad idea but im 15 and its gonna be tricky

you could try taking some ashwaganda for your cortisol but test is your best option, lots of long distance runners and sprinters take it for performance enhancement too it will make you a better runner

i'd only worry about it if there is a clear deficiency, get your t levels check if you're worried. think you're chilling at 70 mpw for your level. running will only screw your T if you aren't recovering properly and listening to your body. this happened to ryan hall (sara hall's husband)

I am almost certain that you have high cortisol and low testosterone.

70 miles is 112.65408 kilometres per week. That is far too high. During my most active phases, I was travelling 70 kilometres per week.

Research consistently shows that long distance endurance runners that run tens or more kilometres per week have lower testosterone than sedentary individuals.

I suggest running 15 to 20 kilometres at most for a session one time per week.

Can’t really comment on testosterone exactly but from middle school to sophomore year was running 55 miles a week in xc, summer, offseason etc (4:40 mile, 16:05 5k) and looked like this

After quitting xc this is what i look like 1.5 years later

Probably higher testosterone but who knows
