I usually listen to metal, rock, those kinds of music (and some classical), but I enjoy grunge/emo rock/alt stuff, especially from the 90s (alice in chains, Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, come to mind). It's a lot of fun. I listened to some more modern stuff too, though I don't remember specific names really, and it was more one off (I was using a shitty old ipod and the older songs were free while the newer costed money)
I used to listen to a specific brand of rock music called post-hardcore. Think of bands like Escape the Fate (this was one of JUICEWRLD's favorite artists, I came to find out later; same album, too), A Skylit Drive, Dance Gavin Dance, Chiodos, Emarosa, Woe Is Me, Hands Like Houses, Sleeping With Sirens). Or metalcore like Killswitch Engage. Or pop punk like blink-182, Sum 41, New Found Glory, MxPx, Yellowcard, All Time Low, Good Charlotte. Or pop punk/metalcore hybrids like A Day To Remember. Ever heard of any of those? I never listened to bands like Nirvana, Alice in Chains, The Smashing Pumpkins though. I did listen to hardcore punk as well like Minor Threat and Bad Brains (80s band). Yeah those days were great, man, I loved it. Life was so good and I had no idea at the time.

I've heard of some of them, but I never really listened much. I like some of the big German thrash metal bands like Sodom, Destruction, Kreator, and Tankard. I listen to a lot of thrash in general, rigor mortis, megadeth, metallica, slayer, anthrax, pantera, testament, exodus, and a lot more. Megadeth is probably my favorite though
