Yes. My catholic teacher actually talked to me about this. He said nowadays especially hispanics (they comprise most catholics) worship saints more than they worship god sometimes. Its like a form of paganism. Not all catholics do that though.

Other than that youre completely correct. Which sect do you follow? How are your sins forgiven if the priest isnt allowed to do it?
