All because of this one ridiculous rule, I ended up getting frisked at the security gate. Like always I had my 6-inch blade on me it’s something I always carry, tucked away discreetly but this time, they found it. They took it out and just left it there unsheathed which already made me uneasy. Then they started getting more suspicious and decided to check the rest of my bag. They found my two bottles of pepper spray and a few other tools I carry for the usual blunt-force items.

Honestly, I felt completely naked. I never go anywhere without some form of protection it’s just how I am. The security asked me why was I carrying all of this and if I was planning to murder someone or if I was drug dealer or something fearing for life I was carrying all this. I tried explaining that to it was self defence but they weren’t having it. They just stuck to their rules and didn’t want to hear me out. They told me I could collect it afterwards but all this isn't allowed inside and said they will call cops if they find me carrying all this again

What made it even more awkward was that one of my colleagues happened to be walking in right behind me while all of this was going down. He saw the whole thing the blade, the pepper spray, the batons everything laid out. He looked completely stunned. Didn’t say a word just stood there quietly, glanced for a bit and went walking, probably not knowing what to make of the whole situation. He probably thinks I am mentally retarded or something
