I still cringe at the stupidity that likely caused my tinnitus

I have pretty mild tinnitus. Tbh for the last few weeks I mostly forgot about it, but remembered again and it's noticeable when u think about it

(I don't know if this caused it because it was 3 years ago and I don't really remember thinking I had tinnitus until recently)

But what I'm talking about is when I went to a 6 hour Armin van Buuren DJ set without earplugs, at the front row jfl

It was my first event, and I didn't realise how loud it would be. I should've just moved further back or stepped out, but I was with my brother

Anyway, the tinnitus doesn't really bother me, but I still cringe about how stupid it was because I know I caused damage

I have had mild tinnitus for 10 years now, and it's nothing that bad, really. I hear well, and all just when it's quiet, I hear it ringing.

Events should have warnings and encourage earplugs more tbh

I know now and wear them if I go. I rarely go, but sometimes with my brother. Although I still went near the front. Now I'm going to go further back even with the earplugs

Is yours from noise damage?

It started at a machine shop when I was 18 yo and the huge milling machine I worked on was very loud, the bore grinder also was extremely loud (jfl we had earmufs all over the place and no one used them). Later I worked a lot with jackhammers and chainsaws all without earpro and it only got worse. But as I said it does not really bother me much at all.

Ye neither tbh but I still cringe at how I damaged them
Yours might get better since it's a one-time exposure. They say ear damage does not heal, but I know if I worked with extra loud equipment today, the tinnitus gets much worse for several days and returns to baseline soon.

Nah this was 3 years ago
Again, idk if that caused it, or made them more sensitive to future damage

Maybe sue him srs.
This is a thing across the whole music scene
Earplugs should be worn at concerts/sets, but lots of people don't know

Besides, idek if it was that that caused it. I just know that it should have done damage based on research

If they're not erecting adequate warning signs or messages, then they must be legally culpable for any damages occurred.
