I still think Tech is the best fields to get into

Title tbh. I still think that despite the high competition tech is one of best fields to get into. Yes the barrier for entry is alot of higher and there is shit ton of competition. But it still remains the only true rags to riches path. I can't tell you the number of under 30 millionaires I've seen in tech. If you want to get rich while young tech is the best choice. Mogs finance, law everything in that regard where most of the money you make will be made later in your career in tech it is opposite there's no slow climb in Tech its a rapid and steep progression. Just hopping around for a year and two and you are earning double your wages this only happens in tech. Now bring on the AI kangers in this thread.
i wish i could work at tech

i gotta lowkey get started on it learning things about it. maybe i will dm you when i have time.

Tech is good but its so oversaturated and the competition is insane and honestly the ROI isnt good especially considering college loans are only increasing and shit
Competition sure but ROI is heavily dependent on what you do in uni. If you just fuck around and do nothing but course work you ain't getting anything

No it isn't, memories and experiences won't vanish or be taken from you. Think about what you want in life, and how much income do you need for that. Being rich (+10M net worth) is not something I need.
i agree that memories wont vanish or be taken from you in a literal sense but you can be put in a life situation that makes those memories lose their meaning and value.

for example if youre homeless in your 30's and everyday is a struggle, your memories with ur gf or whatever from when u were 20 wont really serve much of a purpose which i'd argue is the same as it being taken away from you, not in a literal sense but in an emotional one.

also when it comes to death everything will be taken from you, however your wealth can be inherited by your children or family members so at least it serves a purpose even after death, unlike memories.

Alright, but let's not act like bulding wealth is easily achievable. We are heading into a phase where the middle class will disappear at this rythm. This generation does not even have enough to buy a property.

True, but golden age for career in tech was 10 years ago, it's still solid but no where near it was then

Hey Jason, how much do you think you had to work compared to a medicine major while you were in university and after the graduation?
