That happened to me once, it's an easy fix! I grabbed the nearest (sharpest) knife and craved roughly a 5cm square around the infected area. Next, I used some kind of acid (I think it was sulfuric acid, worked great) and poured it into the wound. It got rid of the itch extremely well! Side effects may vary.
