That want to feel superior. Its an innate thing. Like feeling pride. When people feel proud, they also (often) feel superior.

I think this comes from monkey times when alpha monkey killed beta monkey and fucked all the she-monkeys. Thus all baby-monkeys had this feeling of pride innate to them.
