In workplaces and social environments arguments are bound to happen and this is when people will judge you the most. The way a person argues strikes right at the heart of their character and is the moment when people take their masks and gloves off.

Even I am guilty of this in high school my nickname was "acid" because of how foul mouthed, abusive and vulgar I was with my words when I got angry. It might seem cool at first with the other kids encouraging you calling you savage for insulting and humiliating another person but in adult world it honestly comes off as cheap and low class.

I learnt this much later in life but you will make enemies very quickly if you are harsh and don't have filter over your speech, since then I've slowly learnt to control my impulses and learnt to put my point across without sounding rude and aggressive. You must be able to argue effectively and not seem like pushover while still maintaining your dignity and cross it sometimes when the person doesn't deserve any. It is a skill that you every man over the age of 20 needs to learn and master imo .

People never realise this until later in their 30s....if you are good at arguing with people and having that kind of presence, you can get promoted faster, you can get more connections and money, think for example Charlie Kirk, I dont agree with everything this guy said but if you take a look at his argument skills, its top notch and very few people managed to beat him, which in return got lots of people to respect him and follow his views

Appeal to popularity no one cares what a few donks who are obsessively here think. Either you get what you want based on value or likability just because you can debate no one really cares unless you are being charged for a crime and can't pay for a chad lawyer

It's probably the most important skill for social settings. :D

Of course, a good argument doesn't always rely on logic or word length. :sneaky:

Being able to emotionally sway the audience and play crowd control is just as important. (y)

You see the thing about arguing is that even if you have Saul Goodman tier rhetoric skills, and are able to convince the audience that you're in right, your opponent (esp. if it's a woman) will start throwing ad hominems at you and somehow humiliate you. Even winning the debate will make you feel defeated

Every time I was winning a debate against some bitch she would call me shit like misogynist, racist, faggot..... and the debate loses it's point because she humiliated me therefore people will side with her
