I think East Asians are the only ethnicity that can't get away with colored contacts no matter what.

Like colored eyes occur 0% of the time in East Asians. If I saw an Asian with non-black eyes, I'm assuming it's contacts immediately.

You have to understand that not all Asians are the same.
Central Asians can have West Eurasian admix. up to 60%! I've known guys with blonde hair and light brown eyes with gook eyes all at once.
Some East Asians have this admixture too, though very rarely.

it's not super prevalent even among them, they once studied the genome and found no gene for it, but the sample size was probably just too small and it's rare.

there's other asian communities living near borders that have admixture like that, my father is quarter austronesian with dark features and light eyes, they bleach relatively quickly when they intermingle, I didn't even inherit his skin tone or hair color, neither did my sister.
