I think I was scammed in terms of height

Just watching a video of me and 3 of my friends when we were 13 and I was around 5 inches taller than all of them. Basically eye level with the top of their head.

We are all basically the same age, I’m slightly older but only by a few months

Now 3 of them are 5’10 (same as me) and one of them is even 6’1

How could they go from bieng 5 inches shorter to 3 inches taller at the same age
