might as well, since it will make my job, security, easier, i'd do that for 2 years, then get my bimax surgery done and then evaluate the situation from there on onwards.

current stats:
195cm (morning)
22.5 inch shoulders
94kg
7.3 inch wrists

in the morning I will note down my forearm, bicep, neck measurements

well i have class 1 malocclusion
isn’t class 1 just normal bite. i have class 1 but im recessed but i qualify for bimax cus of a rare case of bone development (class 1 bite but class 2 skeletal) and something abt airway issues. i’m 15 but apparently i have to get bimax within the next year according to doctors. orthos kept telling my that my mouth and whatever were fine and they couldn’t do anything about it cus i had a class 1, it wasn’t until i went to a top ortho who checked everything and referred me to an ent that i was then able to qualify. and any ortho procedure (including jaw surgery) wont be covered by my insurance since i don’t qualify for all 20 points cus of my class 1 bite

idk according to @BlackpillRemedy , guy knows his shit more than anyone else on this forum it seems like, I have a recessed maxilla and need bimax

you’d probably only qualify for lefort 1 if you only have a recessed maxilla but not a recessed jaw. cus bimax moves the jaw forward, and i mean yeah it moves the maxilla forward too, but not as much as it would be moved forward in lefort 1.

my case is that i have an overdeveloped maxilla but underdeveloped lower jaw

Le fort 1 is part of bimax brah, bimax literally means le fort + BSSO 💀

yes, i know, i said that in my post. did i not explain it in simple enough terms
Nah brah you just made a mistake, that's alright.

Anyway, he has class 1 and both his maxilla and mandible are recessed. It's easy to understand, class 1, 2 and 3 are based on the relationship between the jaws, class 1 means the maxilla and mandible fit well together, but they can still be recessed anyway, which is the case for this guy, that's why he'd benefit from bimax

oh, he only said his maxilla was recessed, and that he had a class 1. assuming his mandible wasn’t recessed he would only need a lefort 1. and i hadn’t heard of people with class 1 being able to qualify for bimax unless they were a rare case, i was only offered genio and denied bimax before an ortho and ent found issues in my airway. but if not only his maxilla is recessed then yeah i can see him qualifying for bimax. have u seen a pic of his side profile before? could it be that his chin is just recessed, and is giving the impression of a recessed jaw

I've seen it, yeah, and it definitely appeared to be a class 1 bite with recession.

You see, class 1 means that the jaw and maxilla fit well together, therefore, if his maxilla is recessed his jaw must also be recessed for his bite to fit, otherwise he'd be class 3.

It's indeed somewhat rare to find people with class 1 occlusion and simultaneous recession, but it does happen.

There's also the fact that these people with class 1 bites with recession rarely seek treatment bc it's very hard for someone who hasn't dug into this topic to point out that the reason their face looks awkward is the recession in these types of cases, so it's hard to find patient testimonials and therefore to learn that this peculiar combination even exists

ohhh okay thanks for explaining,

how would you diagnose my case, which is an overdeveloped maxilla but a recessed lower jaw with a class 1 bite?

could i send you a pic in dms later when i get home so that i can get your thoughts on it?
