not rlly, it’s just in terms of income too and statistics. at least in america, arabs get grouped as white on census forms and demographic data, which kinda skews a lot of things

For turks its most likely just because they mixed with greeks or some other euro groups, and some arabs and ME groups do tend to look white but at the end of the day they just aren't

they could be read socially white but that’s not what their ethnic origin is from either way, turkey is pretty diverse

why would you wanna be part of a race slated and marked for utter extermination ?

i have no idea, it’s just in terms of statistics you don’t really see middle easterns grouped as their own category typically. they’re folded into “white” demographics on census forms and datasets instead at least over here, so when people look at white income statistics, education rates, crime statistics, or population data, middle eastern populations are usually already included in that category. that’s more what i mean.

Depends, turks are a trickey one

  • Ancestry Breakdown: At K=3 clustering models, Turkish ancestry is often estimated at 45% Middle Eastern, 40% European, and 15% Central Asian. More detailed models suggest 5–15% direct Central Asian input, with higher concentrations (up to 30%) found in western Anatolia and lower levels in the east.
  • Regional Variation: Turkic genetic influence is not uniform; it peaks in western regions like Mugla and Bolu, while eastern provinces show significantly less Central Asian ancestry and higher affinities with Caucasian and Iranian populations. "
