I believe that very few humans have the fucked up brain chemistry that serial killers usually have. Anyone could commit murder but very few could enjoy it and do it simply because its funny. In some way they are yes morally superior. To commit mass murder you need to have no empathy, no mercy, something that most humans do have out of their biological instinct.
