I think preferences are real. For me some girl is good looking, but for you not that much

If a preference is not linked to objective aesthetics (the ideal of Beauty in accord with the eternal) then this preference must be linked to a temporary trend instead (i.e. political correctness).
Think of the new movies, and how their cast is more diverse than ever. If an actor is not objectively the most fit for his role, he must've been chosen subjectively by his director, because of his appeal to certain societal trends or ideologies. So the subjective preference is changeable, but objective reality is not. But objectivity has a preference too, and this is permanent.
Of course every choice made by humans will be judged by a combination of objectivity and subjectivity, but I choose to strive for the objective end of this scale.

i think looks are objective. but phenotype isnt and thats more important
