I always thought my life was so shit but the reality is

- I grew up rich asf
- I was hmtn-Lhtn at 14
- and I live in a first world country

The only things that I can complain about is my shit relationship with my parents and my 2 knee surgeries.

That’s it

What surgeries did you need? I never had knee surgery but needed a hip arthroscopy for a labral tear and bony issues that didn't fully fix it and was on crutches for a month and it's a 6 month recovery time. I injured my acl in my right knee and it's been sloppy ever since but other than sideways forces it's alright and doesn't bother me.

I tore my acl twice and meniscus once

I used to play football a lot so I got surgery to recover. After my second acl I just gave up on my sporting aspirations lol

@tgun564636, I won’t do that again BTW. It’s not right. I’m sorry.

Brutal. A tear of the acl is worse than breaking your leg in most cases in terms of long term outcomes so that's no joke. They told me my acl wasn't fully torn but it's so stretched it practically isn't doing anything so might as well be ripped. I can walk fine and even sprint but absolutely no harsh sideways movements like soccer would have. Never played sports but do a lot of physical work and tasks outside so luckily it doesn't stop me

One of the most ridiculous ways. It was the end of the school day in high school and I was going down the steps fast at the end of the day and tripped and the way I fell, my leg got caught between these vertical bars on the side of the stairs and it twisted my leg. Hurt so bad I barely could get up after and I limped out of there and it hurt for months as a dull ache and didn't stop hurting chronically till I began cycling long distances for a few months which I found seemed to make it feel better. I've crashed my bike before and got thrown off before this, and did so much other dumb stuff that never got me long term injuries so getting a nasty injury from something so unlikely sucked

After a year it stopped hurting but had a lot of play in the joint if you move it in certain ways. Should have seen a doctor right when it got injured but I thought it would just heal on it's own. Years later when I got it scanned they said the acl isn't torn, but perhaps it was torn when the injury happened and then healed, but was never the same. At the very least it had to have been partially torn or stretched heavily. Physical therapists were shocked when I showed them how much slop the joint had
