And I’m just starting to realize it, I’m surprised I didn’t drop dead at that time.

Fuck, brb fasting the entire day, then playing basketball until nighttime then weightlifting time (still fasted) only afterwards to finish the day off with tons of water and a PUFA laden meal, probably fast food, repeat for several years.

if it wasn’t for Peat, I’d probably be dead, maybe not physically, but definitely mentally and prematurely aged

I still don't understand why saturated fats are better than unsaturated fats. Aren't PUFAs better for heart health?

Unsaturated fats, in one way or another (I can’t currently recall), block thyroid function and subsequently mitochondrial energetic production

The studies funded by vegetable oil companies do indeed show their “heart protective benefits” but they’re ultimately flawed

Just took my time to read about Ray Peat diet, thyroid, metabolism, etc. Do you think taking ADHD meds (adderall) can negatively impact thyroid, and metabolism?

Idk about the harmful effects of adderall, but what I do know, is that from the bioenergetic perspective, ADHD is a sign of an accumulation of stress, especially serotonin,

so it’s likely that it can be resolved with the proper nutrition, instead of using meds that haven’t been studied in the long term

I doubt I have ADHD, I just take adderall for studies. Is Ray Peat diet enough to fix thyroid function and raise metabolism?

Yeah, the use of the needed nutrition in your specific case will help, maybe that means you need a bit more carbs and perhaps thyroid supplementation, you should follow the basis of it, and see what works
