It's not. I noticed alot of different dark triad characters in anime have longer midfaces, because it's looks higher IQ and class. Besides how long midface looks depends on alot of features, not just MFR. Not now, but when i watching old threads, i remember there were was so much focus on short midface

I think short and long can be both good, they just tend to create different looks. But to say that midface needs to be muh 1-1.1:1 is retarded, when most highly attractive men tend to be below 1:1. Also long midfaces can be ethnic too (arabs especially)

Yes obviously nose (and philtrum) make a longer midface, because those are the only 2 things that make up a midface. Also midface can be longer even with ideal/wide ESR. Ofc close-set eyes is a failo in itself

Well Ian somerhalder famously has like 0.85ish for example. Also I noticed alot of cunning/charming and evil characters have longer faces in anime.

Yes FWHR tends to be important true, but there are still good looking people with low both, it's not a death sentence in on itself, and other features tie alot to it, it's not just about midfacial ratios only

Ofcourse @sudanguy tier face width isn't the ideal case tho, i don't mean underdeveloped faces

Yes but even he's considered good looking (HTN or so) even when narrow. If his face was compact he wouldn't suddenly be a chadlite (but his face would be completely different if compact, so impossible to tell)

DNR the thread you linked but, you can't determine shit from that "before&after" picture on the tiktok. There's no 'cure' for long midfaces, except maybe somehow modifying the bone or something at a young age. It's just genetic most the time, it's not because of environmental bad facial development that's BS.

Long midface isn't a death sentence at all lol, in males especially. It creates a high class and mature look. This whole brachy skull and compact =good meme is so overplayed. Whether you look good with a longer midface or not is dependant on other features. Most masculine attractive faces in Hollywood etc.. tend to be in 0.95-1 range not 1-1.05 at all. Also there are alot of highly attractive faces even below 0.9 or bordering 0.9 which is very long
