I think it stems from your subconscious fear of potentially passing on the problems you faced due to your height to your future child. You may see it as a form of retribution towards those who may have bullied you for your height in the past and as a way to prove something to the world.

I don't think it is bad, nor do I consider it a high testosterone trait. Personally, being 6 feet 1 inch tall, I ideally prefer a woman to be somewhat tall but not excessively so, around 5 feet 9 inches to 5 feet 10.5 inches would be perfect for me.
