I want a magnum opus

I want to do something in my life which singlehandedly defines who I am. I want to work on something for 5, 10, 15, even 20 years and finally release for the world. That would be amazing. Alas, it's unrealistic as fuck.

I'm young enough to start something that can bleed into the years. I want to create an animated film much like Grave of the Fireflies, but without a studio, just a one man project. After the fact I could create a parent company and register a copyright, so that way things are set in stone. But this is just the sleep deprived sappy faggot in me speaking, I have a lot more to do before I even think about that.
