I want more mass but I don’t wanna bulk and be fat. Would a 100-200 calorie surplus be ideal and should I even try bulk

You should only be doing a 100-200kcal surplus when wanting to gain mass.

Bulking is cope and doesn't do anything except get you fat. More calories does not equal more muscle. Only mimics the feeling due to the higher carb intake.
