im a canadiancel and i want to become a lawyer, specifically criminal defense and i basically live in toronto so being a lawyer in a big city with high crime rates makes sense

im doing a broad pathway program in college and im gonna transfer to uni after this semester.

i fear im too retarded for this tho like genuinely. i was NOT gifted with high iq like some other curries and i feel like my brain is slow. being a lawyer from what ive heard online is very tough, lots and lots of mental work and memorization. however i think i could pull this off if i really try. also seems giga cortisol spike maxxing because its so stressful to maintain good grades when you get to law school.

i dont wanna work a normie job. you could argue its still slave work but being a doctor / lawyer is very high class. if u become good ur basically statusmaxxed without being internet famous.

It's alot of work and you're stuck in one country but if you don't want a technical job it's a good path and you're studying something useful

It's kinda risky then to study law as if Canada goes to hell your degree is worthless if you're moving from there

canada is still part of the "five eyes" and its still one of the major western countries.

yeah canada may go to shit, probably i would guess. but still wouldn't people still require lawyers anyway?

I wish I had a genuine desire to become something I’m just doing accounting cuz I have no other thing to do

Good career choice Law is solid, but it's a slow climb compared to other fields. You spend years in school, internships, junior roles, then associate, partner the growth is steady but not steel Top law firms do make a lot of money but it is not a fast track to wealth

Ontario professional/grad school requirements are constantly inflated so good luck. Might as well try.
