I want to build my own city

So desperately man and I will name it after myself and put a monument of myself in a park for everyone to see.

Jokes aside I genuinely believe with the help of a few architects and urban planners I could build a city that mogs New York, London and maybe just maybe Paris the crème de la crème.

Tbh I don’t have the money to do it in america but I could do it in africa

Well you would face the challenges of building a new city from scratch. Like all of the infrastructure would need to be built from scratch. That would be super expensive and difficult. You would need an incredible amount of resources to buy the land, build all the water treatment plants / plumbing and sewage infrastructure, roads, bridges, and highways, etc, and you’d need enough money to pay someone to come design a workable city plan. Then you’d need to pay tons of money for workers to come and actually build the city.

So we’re talking massive money for just building the city itself. Then you have actually running the city. So you need to pay for people to maintain the infrastructure and provide security and law enforcement, etc.

And the city would be self sufficient the people running it wouldn’t be paid out of my pocket obviously the fucking government of the country it’s built in. “City” might have been an overstatement it would be like a large town with around 150k - 250k people in it and would expand over time like all cities do.
