You need an army of at least 1 million soldiers for his and lots of ammunition if you want to conquer and claim a land in today's world and create your own country on it. But I doubt even this would work now because of this garbage globalized world where NATO or some organisation like this will probably send nukes upon you without needing to send their own men to fight against your soldiers if you attempted to claim a land without paying for it.
