how it works in australia is that when you're a senior, you need min 10 units of learning to graduate. when ur in yr11 for australia, you get the option to pick smth called extension classes, which is pretty much AP subjects for aus. it mainly exists for english and math (science in some rich schools) and make up one unit. once you hit year 12 like me, you get the option to do extension 2 which is literally just more of whatever previous extension subject you were doing.Nah I dont but having half ur classes as math would be torture wtf

im doing extension 2 english which means i get a unit from extension 1, 2 and two units from the mandatory english making up 4 in total. im gonna drop to 10 units which means 4/10 of my learning is legit just gonna be ENGLISH.

You have to take 4 years of history, 4 years of English, 3 or 4 years of science, 4 years of math, and 2 or 3 years of language. You only get class choices in junior and senior years typicallywhats it like in the us?
