most schools in big indian cities teach in english. so written english isn't really a problem for lower-middle class+ indians <25. its spoken english where the class divisiond become apparent.

The Punjab region is the old land which includes Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Delhi, Punjab State and Pakistan Punjab province https://www.jatland.com/home/Punjab_region

You would literally crush me with pure ease. I am like a deer caught in headlights in your presence

My low T soyboy presence is unmatched against your fiery dark triad wrath. Like a predator hunting it’s pray, your claws could wipe out my indistinguishable commodary.

To my recollection, Haryana wasn’t historically associated with Punjab. Only until the Sikhs came and reunited it, along with Himachal Pradesh and the Punjab of today. There are only a few Punjabi-speaking people there compared to the Pahadi speakers (which is different from the Pahadi speakers in AJK, PK). I could be wrong however. But I read Haryanvis for instance identify as Haryanvi and not Punjabi.

In the case of west Pakistan, historically it was inhabited by Indo-Aryans, therefore it is definitely South Asian land. Indo-Iranians came later, in the 11th century after infighting. It’s pretty funny.

What’s a royalist?
i said it bc the brits governed haryana as punjab.
but haryana is pretty distinct from punjab still. the language is closer to khariboli spoken in nw up, although both are still quite similar to punjabi. also haryana doesn't have much of a sikh population unlike punjab.

its still intriguing to me how these areas differ from each other tbh. haryana to me seems like a mix of rajasthan, up and punjab. i think punjab has more dogri/pahari influence.

The Brits governed Haryana as Punjab because they conquered the Sikh empire which was controlling Haryana. But in modern sense, it’s actually a Punjabi ethno-nationalist take. For a little while I was a Punjabi ethno-nationalist but since some time ago I distanced myself from them. I just identify with my region these days. :p

I met someone in Sheikhupura. He’s my uncles’ neighbor. His brother looks like he came straight out of Uzbekistan. When Islamic rulers were still ruling South Asia, some people from Central Asia settled in Punjab. Those people who look like that have roots in Central Asia. I think they are the offspring of the Mughals, since Mughals were East Asian/Central Asian. The Indic people claiming to be Mughals are pretty much assimilated into the surrounding populace. I know a Kashmiri who claims to be Mughal. His last name is literally Mughal but he looks South Asian with just a slightly lighter shade of skin color. He thinks he’s “white.” And he’s extremely autistic.

Alchon Huns were subhuman as fuck, they elongated their heads on purpose, go look it up and you’ll see what I’m talking about. Personally I just identify as South Asia, I don’t like cultures outside of South Asia (Islamic culture is not necessarily entirely foreign, due to purdah culture also being found in your community, for instance). I just proudly identify as South Asian.

The word Mughal is a bastardization of the word Mongol. But the later Mughals were a mix of Mongolic and Turkic. I’m talking about the OG rulers from Babur, Humayun, et cetera. The ones claiming to be Mughal while looking Indo-European are just LARPers.

like i said, only two leaders were turkic, even then, the empire was structureally indo iranic, aurangzeb, shah jahan, akbar, jahangir, shaha bahdur, shah alam were not turkic
Mughal Empire
Common languagesPersian (official and court language) Urdu (later given official status) Hindustani (lingua franca) Arabic (for religious ceremonies) Other Indian languages
@forevermirin read this dawg, mughal empire is not a turkic invasion, it was asismilated and comparing it to britihs empire which some indians do is just mmoronic and absolute nonsense

Because Pakistanis are still delusional and think there’s a thread binding all Islamic people together. I used to be delusional like this as well. But what names would you have suggested? Nuclear Rocket 3000 isn’t exactly professional.

yeah and ig the names "maurya" or "gupta" wont go down too well either. yall in a hard spot with how much u tried to dissociate from india and desanskritize. maybe name it "cyrus" or something lol

Yeah, those suggestions aren’t good, either. JFL. We have indeed dissociated from Bharat but it’s impossible to dissociate from the mighty Indus river. I would call myself Indian since I quite literally hail from the land of the Indus river but nowadays the term is associated with Bharat so I don’t use it. So I just claim to be Pakistani or South Asian, depending who I am talking to.

A better alternative would be renaming them to cities in Pakistan. Rawalpindi Rocket, Quetta Quaker, et cetera.

Back when our great-grandfathers were alive, it was one country so it made sense to say you came from India or Hindustan since the Indus River flowed in the same country. But nowadays people look at the Gangetic side of South Asia if you use these terms and I’m not from those areas myself.

That’s possible as well. My maternal side would claim to be Jatts but they also identify as Rajputs so it’s an entire clusterfuck, but in reality people who don’t know their roots are considered Jatts in the area my family is from.
