Recently Hitman absolution came to mobile phones. I even made a thread about it. The complete PC game for it got ported to mobile phones. It's available on Android and iphones

It's the full game not like some shitty mobile version or whatever. 10 years ago when this came to PCs it was one of the most demanding games at the time requiring a high end gpu and CPUs that would set you back thousands of dollars. But now it can run on the palm of your hand. Same for civilization 6

Assassin's creed mirage also can run on latest apple iphones

In the Big 2025. Our mobile phones due to advancements in semi conductors have become so powerful that they are almost just as competent as PCs and consoles from a few years ago.

The newer generation Snapdragon 8 elite and Apple A18 Pro chips absolutely smokes the switch 2. The new switch 2 is so underpowered that it gets beat by mobile phones that are 2-3 generations in certain bench marks

The phones due to silicon carbon are also packing massive batteries that weren't possible before. 5000 mah is the norm but as tech enthusiast what doesn't sit well with me is how the software refuses to keep up and developers still see mobile gaming as some kind of shit cash grabs and view it as a cheap unmatured platform making time pass games like this shit.

It's such a massive untapped market. Gaming studios can do so much more. They have so many resources at their disposal. Mobile gaming is just waiting for an opportunity to take off and become on of the Metas. Mobile Phones Are the New Consoles But Game Devs Still Treat Them Like Toys
Just a little bit of optimization and push from Devs is all it needs. I really want to see mobile gaming grow I truly believe its just a matter of time until studios realize it's potential. Eveyrone on earth has a smartphone just imagine how largely they could scale.

Too small display, shit input system. Even the decent emulate via some other input system. And p2w mechanics are a big thing there

Doesn't have to run on emulators. Direct ports of pc games like the ones above also remove the pay 2 win and just offer them as paid premium games and regarding inputs. Allow game play with Joy sticks like that ROG phones

Playing on pc is 10x better and easier than mobile in my opinion, not only that the difference in software which PC easily takes thus allowing more high graphic and heavy gameplay, while phones would overheat and crash

Just my opinion

It's already pretty decent!
I have a "backbone" controller I use to play Minecraft, CoD Mobile, and also emulate early generation Nintendo games.
It can also run Xbox/PlayStation games if you have a console running at home and play off of your phone.
I think there's a lot of great opportunities for mobile gaming and the stronger phones get the more they can do!
I'm pretty sure a top of the line phone can already emulate games up to Ps2/ GameCube which is insane haha

Still better to have an entirely different controller or kbm. PC is superior because it already has an established ecosystem a long time ago. This ecosystem was created as and when PC gaming took off. Mobile gaming is already technically mature but unlike PC, the game companies simply didnt care about establishing an ecosystem like PC. Also no matter how hard you try, PC hardware is always superior and offers more options for which type of game to make and sell. Also most Mobile games dont make money because the gaming bros are on PC used to it and anything less than that is a degrade which they wont accept. Better to pay more than accepting a degraded experience with respect to graphics and performance and variety

Flagship phones today can emulate PS4 games. That's how far we've come the main limitation now isn't power it's the lack of developers and optimized software.

Possibly bro but I doubt I'll always stick to console or pc

unless they drop a exclusive on phone which would be the only push they need but i've done cloud gaming before

Games become so fucking small once I unplug my curved wide monitor and only play on laptop

Can’t imagine playing on mobile so small and for performance also worse than 1050 TI

Upto PS4? I've never seen that!!
Exclusives will never come to phone unless the price of PCs keep going up.
A great mobile game on par with consoles and PCs could be LUCRATIVE!!!!

Phones are powerful enough to run ≈ PS4 tier games with proper optimisation now, which besides being completely mental shows how underused they are. Sure, touchscreens are ass but regardless having ports of good games hurts no one. Pretty much nothing of quality is also on the app stores anyways.

Things like the Steam Deck and Switch are ultimately cop-outs, their size means you might as well carry a laptop around, even without mentioning how manchild-y they look.

£50 is crazy for one of the worst Assassin’s Creeds Games.

Would’ve been nice to have something like origins but I guess phones still can’t handle it

That is because phones are cheap and accessible. Not everyone has the money for a ps5 which is why I say it's an untapped market but you could also argue the people with the hardware to run the games above like flagship phones already have the money for a ps5 or PC

I find the idea of mobile gaming pathetic. You are better off staring at a wall than playing games on your phone.

I think the games are the issue tbh, the hardware is there and there’s even controllers like this that you can buy but unfortunately most mobile games out there are shitty p2w games. I personally think it’s dependant on how many game developers actually find mobile gaming a promising market, you could make the argument mobile gaming might be a little bit more redundant due to windows handhelds but I personally don’t really believe that
