I'm 175cm/5'9 and weigh 78kg

Should I do cardio or weights? What diet should I do? Should I even try?

try powerlifting it’s really fun and swim liftvault is a good sight too to find great programs with spreadsheets

don't make things complicated, follow a basic push pull legs routine and overload consistently, there isn't more to it.

pick movements you enjoy, drop movements that don't work for you.

run a simple ppl program 5x a week get stronger at compounds mouvement

ounce you build a decent base you can cut weight

This is what I would recommend doing.

I would just start tracking calories dont bother with a specific diet just into the habit of actually tracking them maybe use https://cronometer.com/ thats what I use to track.

With the gym you probably want to lose weight while building a little bit of muscle, so figure out your TDEE, and eat at a very slight deficit while also working out. (This will add to the deficit).

I would say start a simple PPL routine and keep track of your lifts for maybe 3 months, over this 3 months try and increase your lifts once the 3 months is up go into a more specialised program, otherwise you will just stagnate your progress.


Change it to your goals if you want but tbh I would just start.

Don't go to the gym. Gym is for retards who want to look older an more 'masculine'
