I genuinely didn’t. I was confronted the other day by a teacher of mine, they were very sure that I used ChatGPT because — in their words — it was a very well-written piece, and they didn’t think I actually produced it. Brootal. In any case, I’m taking it as a compliment. I’ve never really used ChatGPT before, but having someone take your work for an AI-produced product is nice hahaha.

You have to PM Dean, not me. Only administrators deal with permanently banned users.

Just use a gpt checker before submitting anything

I am using my iPhone, if you use two dashes in a row, you get a longer dash, that’s what happened then — and now.

Yeah, I mean… they took my word for it, but I said I’d show evidence anyway.

You should become a professor. It's more high status than dealing with annoying ass kids

Dashes? Looks like you used chatgpt to write this too:feelswhat:
Haha. If you’re on an iPhone and use - twice in a row, without spaces, it becomes a dash. That’s what I did.

I’m 29, and this isn’t the United States where only younger people study. The youngest student in my class is in their early 20s and the oldest in their early 50s.

Professors are required to publish monthly articles. That’s the main the difference between a regular high school teacher and a university professor. But you’re right, I don’t want to stick to teaching younger students. I’m using it as a stepping stone. The goal is to adults later on. For now, in order to get used to teaching, I’m opting for high school students.

I didn’t use any — or - in my essay. It was just written text. And I broke it up into paragraphs.

Haha yeah, it makes sense because they’re not used to it. However, in my case, it was my first essay at my university, so they don’t know what I am like. Plus, in real life I’m not as eloquent, because my sleep deprivation has nuked my cognitive abilities so as a result there’s a discrepancy between the way I speak and the way I write. When I write, I can take some time to think about things, and rephrase them properly, something I can no longer do IRL like I was able to over ten years ago. Joever.

I revealed it in this thread:

And it’s not really a big change until I last for more than half a year. I’ve never lasted longer than 6 months (and that, I did only did twice in 10 years, lol).

If I go into my second year, that’s when the real change begins. :Comfy:

It was about my life; the circumstances that I grew up in, what shaped my life back then, etc. They said it sounded like a fairytale the way I wrote it. XD

Yeah, you need to do research work (frequently, I believe on a monthly basis, perhaps yearly - I’ll google). Some of the teachers I have in university also published books themselves, so technically they’re also professors.

“The main difference between a teacher and a professor is that a teacher usually instructs school children, while a professor teaches and conducts research in college or university.”

Apparently, professors are also supposed to design the curriculum, but I think that it depends on the region. In the Netherlands, the curriculum is designed by the government, but it could be that they’re professors working for the government who are responsible for it. Who knows.

I didn’t prove it; I said that I didn’t use ChatGPT, and I explained that I had people tell me before that I should become a writer (something I always brushed off since I didn’t take it seriously, but now that I’m hearing it from my teacher, I guess they weren’t wrong after all).

Definitely pursue a teaching career as well, there’s a shortage of teachers in my country, and I think just in the world in general. And that’s right, Clavicular is a head moderator here as well. He’s the most famous user we have now.
