I held the door for her while entering a cafe. I was this close to then shooting my shot.

My inhibition stopped me.

This was 1 instance where my inhibition worked to my benefit. Turned out she was linking up with what appeared to be a husband or boyfriend at the cafe.

When doing some research online, it was suggested that my inhibition is really a security system that prevents me from potentially making high-cost social errors

My dad complained once because I didn't hold the door when him and my mom were far enough away that holding the door didn't really make sense

Yet if others are right there (like that foid this morning at the cafe), I will hold it
