I thought the beauty standards shifted ever since cinema was made and woman like chads now because they used to see chads as the romantic male partner in movies but i was wrong.
they didn't purposefully done that, they had no choice. female actors couldn't connect and pretend to love subhuman actors therefore, over time subhuman actors got rejected and only chads remained.
It's the woman and nature itself.

beauty is above the biological and 'material.' they do alter fashion and 'physique' or body types (skinny Women without much boobs or thighs were preferred, which I think is superior to what we've nowadays.) but yes, similarly to how you could never alter people 'beauty gauge' perception of the sunset, you can't necesserily alter that of humans
