Just weighted myself this morning and im 86 kgs now. Lost almost 20 kilos in 8-9 months. Till 90-92 kgs it was relatively easy but after that I kept hitting weight plateaus because my body lowered my metabolism to cope with being starved for so long which slowed me down significantly. I reduced my calorie intake even more but that only resulted in brutal cravings and binge eating sessions. . Here are some things I learnt along the way that people won't tell you

- I used Contrave (Naltrexone+Bupropion) most people sleep on meds like these.
If cravings are destroying your deficit, this can be a game-changer especially for binge prone niggas like me.

-Refeed days are important. Chronic starvation tanks your metabolism, messes with hormones like leptin and ghrelin, and makes you feel like a zombie. Strategic refeeds (not cheat days) help reset that. And mentally, they're a sanity saver.

-Eat carbs before workout. Ignore the retards who day carbs is poison. Without carbs my lifts suffered a lot. I would feel extremely weak. In a cut you should have always have some kind of simple carbs to fuel you for the workout

-Diet soda, sugar-free jelly, protein bars - they get you through those sweet cravings. Just don't go overboard or you'll trigger sugar cravings

-Sleep is number 1 way of fasting. Sleep suppresses hunger hormones and boosts fat burning.

-Muscle loss will happen for sure. It is unavoidable muscle loss is guaranteed to happen when you are at deficit. You will lose a ton of mass and strength because of the cuts. The more aggressive the cut the most muscle depletion.

This is prove that even someone like me who is predisposed to carrying weight can lose weight with an Iron Will. I am at 20% bf now. I have ordered Mounjaro just for that last push to get to 14-15% bf will keep y'all updated.

Workout? Oh my God, you could lose weight without physical activity. You're just bringing more pain to yourself.

Diet, bro, diet

You'll lose a lot of muscle and strength if you don't expose yourself to heavy weights during the cut.

High fat diet isn't good for satiety because of low volume. Protein has the most satiety.

Go to gym, train hard and eat junk food everyday. You'll gain a lot of muscle but also a ton of fat.

South Asian fat-storing genetics, all my fat goes to my belly. It literally is starting to look like a balloon at this point, at 62 kg it's much better for instance but still enough fat. I remember in 2019 I was literally 52 kg and still had a layer of belly fat below my belly button. :hnghn::hnghn::hnghn::hnghn::hnghn:

That, too! I don't work out at all. But isn't it also a fat-storing issue that South Asians generally have?
