I went to a therapist for the first time today

I went in the morning and she actually listened to my problems. I just kept going on and on about how I feel I'm depressed and failing at everything. Suprisingly I didn't cry.

Anyways, it was all fine and dandy sharing my thoughts with someone for the first time, but the issue is she gave me hardly no advice at all. It's like she listened way more then she did talk. So the session didn't end up helping at all...

One of the things she said was I needed to find a purpose. Which I obviously don't have. Is there any way to find a purpose? It can't be fucking girls because it turns out it gives me very little satisfaction. Bit stuck and would like advice
