Religions isnt proper investigated to confirm if it's TRUE or not. Alot of stuff written in the bible is confirmed by other books written by people in that time who were pro that religion. The negative parts written in that time is considered heresy, unless it can support the religion to pinpoint the "evil" and devil part.
Because of propaganda alot of the negative data is lost. Also if you go to the middle east to investigate something AGAINST religion your research will be stopped. So we will never find the true answers. The same applies to the other mainstream religions.
