I feel like this is more common today than it would’ve been years ago though

girls don’t really anticipate rejection either, like if a girl asks for my snap or number im giving it regardless of how they look, and then I’ll just ignore

In my experience, if you "ask" for a girl's number, she always says yes and then just doesn't respond. She probably would give the real number and then just mute you or give some half ass responses. When a girl walks up to you first the success is, like you say, much higher chance
