I will never understand people that base "intelligence" off of grades on a paper.

Personally, I am unable to comprehend why people determine another's 'intelligence' off a grade or a mark. Yes, while retaining information and being able to learn new things easily can be signs of 'higher intelligence', however, I argue that making a monkey and a fish climb a tree is unfair. I am sure many are familiar with this statement and I feel as though it is extremely fitting to this scenario.

Most of the time your IQ and your grades will correlate positively, obviously some high IQ will flunk or fail but pretending there is zero correlation is silly

If zero correlation was implied through what I said, It was not meant to be like that. However, I do agree that there are obvious relationships between IQ and grades.

unless the entire education system is based upon rote memorization; unless ur at a good institution that actually tests your knowledge you'll just convince urself youre smart.

Majority of the people that do well in school are either above average IQ (105, 110) which is relatively above average but not high IQ so its not entirely inaccurate

That appears about right to me, I must get rid of this name however I do not believe there is a way for me to change it without purchasing VIP Rank.

Yea man totally agree, I was put in a class of "smart" kids during grade 11 and all of them were faggots who studied a lot, but I've consistently fucked up every exam ever since i got kicked out of that class, so who's winning?
Most schooling systems can be done pretty easily if you put in the effort, including college entrance exams, so by theory were all smart ahahahahha

Not really no unless you know what they do everyday, schooling everywhere is just memorization.
The only people I'd call smart of off just grades are ones who ace hard entrance exams.

Assuming you try, it does demonstrate if you are above average or not. If you can't do well in school, you are not very high IQ. This isn't to say you don't have other Cognitive abilities that can be useful, you just aren't intelligent in the strict sense.

Memory and working memory in particular is very important when it comes to intelligence though. How much you retain, how much you can compare with other information, how much information you can simultaneously hold and integrate or break apart, etc..

memory can be frauded with enough spaced repetitions, and working memory is yes, a pointer of being okay.
all the other points sure if you're being tested on it as soon as you learn it

I agree processing speed isn't everything, so like if you take a long time but come out with high quality ideas, then yes you can be called intelligent. School kindve allows you to do that, in a very limited way. Tests are usually over an hour for me, not sure about others.

105 to 110 is not rly smart but just above average, my point is that a low IQ person is not going to be able to get high grades, its less of a filter that tests your IQ but more of a filter that just prevents low IQ ppl reaching it

no i meant processing speed is a good indication only if you're being tested upon it as soon as you learn a new topic, not if you take your time for a few days and then learn it fully.
School mostly rapes you and makes you think too into the box, and you're not even allowed to think a lot.
I took mosts of my tests in india and the ones that were good, were the JEE ones, all the other ones are stupid.
they were for 3 hours at a time

Yeah school is mostly shit. Everything meaningful I've learned, I've learned either outside of school or in school doing things other then the given task
