For the first question I would say that god is showing the fragility of life, most people live day in and out in peace yet pay no thanks to god, they eat food, spend time with family and sleep in peace, they begin to forget god, this goes on and on till they forget him altogether, it is shown that after any disaster people return to god and flock to religion

For the second question just because people are born into a religion does not mean that they are exempt from learning and changing towards the truth, Muhammad did some terrible things and people recognize that, people read the Talmud and recognize its from Satan, they can see this and change. I would give the example that just because you are born in poverty does not mean you need to steal or commit crime, you can see that it is wrong and change for the better.

Being born into Christianity does not make you exempt for being separated from god either, just because you are born into something does not mean you abide by it.

You can get a Bible that has everything Jesus said in red text. And only read those parts, maybe some of the surrounding text for some context. If you don't want to get a physical Bible I am sure you could find an online one. You can even just google search All quotes from Jesus in the New Testament and read that.

As for something like Hell, I'm not exactly sure. It can be seen as abstract, but the main idea is that it is the absence of God/Logos. Logos is divine reason or logic. Imagine a world without logic. It would be absolutely chaotic. I think I remember reading that Evola brought this up at some point and said something along the lines of this: without divine order (or Logos/God), a society becomes materialistic and irrational. It basically becomes a place where people act on whims, emotions, and instincts, no different than an animal.

Lastly, aperson who rejects Logos (reason, truth, divine order) and lives in chaos, depression, and self-destruction is already in Hell. If you really want to know more about this stuff though you should pick up the Bible, probably start with the New Testament, but you can start from the very start, and pick the right version. There are books with too many changes that alter the meanings of certain parts. The best way to choose which book is to find one that is closest to the original Greek written scriptures, and probably learn Hebrew (the ancient one, not the modern Aramaic).
