America seems dead nowadays. What happened to the America where the norm was working hard, marrying young, and having kids? The America in which you knew everyone in your neighborhood, and people smiled as they passed you on the street.
Nowadays everyone seems angry. Everything seems to revolve around some social, political, or cultural issue. These MAGA Republicans, White and Black identitarians, Palestinian activists, third-wave feminists, they always have to find something to be angry about. Nothing is satisfactory for these people. Anyone part of the out-group is seen as being "immoral" or "evil."
What happened to watching NFL on the weekends with your neighbors? Inviting your neighbors for Thanksgiving. All I ever wanted was to live in a pro-social world, where these anti-social behaviors were punished rather than glamorized or ignored.
