The United States and the entire world are almost all materialistic and greedy but I don't care about materialistic things anymore and it's not helping. I have no incentive to go for anything because I know a new car isn't going to make me happy or some new gimmick, it will give me dopamine for a month and then reset to its normal state, as usual, that's how the human brain works. If you don't care about materialistic stuff though then you don't have any social status/SMV.
You could say just get that sort of stuff but it is truly pathetic to spend an extra 15 thousand dollars on a car so that someone can take you seriously. Working minimum wage and taking out a car loan that will take you two years to pay for just the CHANCE to impress a mid-tier Becky is not a mentality I can have. If you call yourself spiritual you aren't going to get a trad wife you are going to get a low value astrology or satanist gf because women are evil
