How can I cope? yeah i was thinking the same thing true love is def seeing a persons flaws and deciding to stay and love them. being with someone for their looks is all short termed and once a better looking guy comes there she goes. i agree with more men are in love than woman and would you say the relationship only works if the woman loves the man more?

For a relationship to work, there doesn't even need to be love. Plenty of couples nowadays fool themselves into believeing they are

But I think in a relationship for it to be worthwhile. both parties need to love sufficiently.

It depends on what men and women expect.
Men give much more and require less
Women give much less and require more

The giving part is largely fixed. Men are the breadwinners + protectors + emotionally stable rocks to rely on + need to be attractive.. women just need to be attractive (+ some prefer nurturing qualities for motherhood)

For a relationship to have meaning, the man requires less. So for love to exist he has to overlook less (largely his attraction to the girl).
I wouldn't say a woman "has to love more", but the bar is higher in terms of things she has to overlook. Naturally, less women would be in love because of it
