I wish I went to big name internationally recognized uni like @widdi who goes to Princeton and @imontheloose who goes to Oxford. My university is actually tier 1 regularly in the top 5 in the country with a prestigious brand name but it's more like St. Gallen if you catch my drift. St gallen is elite, highly respected in certain circles but not widely recognized by the general public, especially in the U.S. and parts of Europe. My uni suffers the same fate. I tell people which uni I went to, they said they never heard then they look it up on Google and are like damn this ___ company CEO/Founder/CXO was from your uni. It is like that kind of brand name. I do plan to graduate out of a big name uni in the future tho.

It's ropefuel seeing my peers from HS post on LinkedIn about new internships and projects they've been working on, or on Instagram with their friends and parties they've went to. They live rent free in my head while they probably never gave a single fuck about me in those 4 years I walked those halls with them. My uni has all that extremely competitive, elite, and well-respected. Most employers know my uni but it isnt a household name and normies outside of the industry have no idea about it. It doesn't have broad international name recognition the way Harvard, Oxford, or Princeton do.
