Mewing didn't do shit for me, I've been doing it for over a year, but then again it is supposed to take several years and it should be done when you're a teen, not when you're 30 years old like me. Having correct tongue posture (which is what mewing is) helps with improving breathing though, this I can confirm. So overall I would say it is worth it, because it improves breathing.
