But most Religioncels like myself a long time ago will come to the conclusion that

We live in a deterministic universe without a free will or a deeper true meaning

We are just waiting for the day when the infinite domino effect that drives us leds to our death

There was never a great story written about you in the end, you vanish into endless nothingness

Depends on the Religion

But if we talk about christianity there are many

The two best arguments for me is suffering of animals thats not caused by humans and the fact that our universe is predetermined and with that we dont have a free will

If we dont have a free will everything about heaven and hell wouldnt make any sense at all

mortality is the only way to give an importance to life and with mortality there comes suffering
through adam and eve and human sinn everything has been corrupted

why dont we have free will

But why do animals have to suffer because of something humans did

as I said im talking about animals who are suffering which doesnt not include humans

Imagine a deer running around in the forest

Out of nowhere, a small tree falls on it not by human hand, but simply by nature

The animal lies on the ground, its body crushed, bleeding out slowly

For hours, it remains alive, starving, helpless, and suffering, until death finally takes it

Why would a God who is all good do that

If you dont agree that even humans dont have free will then you can atleast agree that a deer is not responsible of the corruption made by adam and eve

Well Thats just caused by the laws of nature Which were given by god for a reason and god has to give his creation Freedom to unfold

How would u have the possibilty of claiming that there is no free will If there wasnt

Why would he create a nature where innocent animals are suffering

how can he be good?

There is no good reason why he does that

For humans you could argue they need that because they can find to God in hard times ... adam eve etc

But why are animals suffering

The laws given by god in that case is just evil tbh

and there is no freedom for the animals they are not conscious or selfaware like us

Religion is bad

Infleunces morals wrongly
Changes thinking system from logic based to belief based
Influences politics
Etc

Because of determinism

Tell me where does the free will come from

Nothing comes from Nothingness

there is always are reason why something is or why something happening. There is always a cause

How can your will be free if your while arisis because of a cause

Thats not free by definition

Well the creation evolves around humans primarily and how could we know with our Limited Knowledge Why god put These laws on this planet we just cant know as long as we dont know what Happens in the afterlife

This is a dead argument ima be honest

we cannot know why he does this and that

Why would he want that

why would he not give us this information

Why did he not created other biological laws where animals are not needed so there wouldnt be suffering for them

why

the universe could be eternal

before the "big bang " if it really exists

there could be something before that that caused it and so on

You could go an infinite amount of time to the past and future

Thats very possible

But we dont know 100%

What we know is that there is a cause for our actions and thats what matters

moral is subjectiv

if it wouldnt be

mass murderer wouldnt exist
And tell me how does it happen that someone happens to be one
They couldnt choose that with free will
There was a cause that made him that way
Example:

A child is born into a bad family, gets abused, bullied at school, grows up with no money, sees no meaning in life and eventually becomes a mass murderer

Now imagine the same person but born into a rich family, with loving parents, good looks, no bullying and they end up becoming a successful doctor

Same person, two completely different outcomes, all because of one initial cause that shaped them

How can that be considered fair in the sense of Heaven and Hell

You’re still looking for meaning inside the system. No wonder it feels hollow and empty.
The truth doesn’t live in the code, it comes through it, from something deeper. From the part of you that existed before thought.

Meaning isn’t something you chase. It’s something you reclaim.

You can definitely find a sense of meaning But there is no clear absolute meaning like one given by a god

And the second part of my thread is thi whether or not we find that meaning is already determined because we live in a deterministic universe

Everything that happens is part of an infinite chain of cause and effect

You don’t get to choose whether your life becomes bliss or misery it’s determined by factors far outside your control

with that the fact of finding a meaning or a will to live is also predetermined

And I'm not just talking about genetic determinism that shapes your life

The fact that we only live once, and without free will, haunts me

Yes, the body-mind is deterministic.
Yes, it does run on cause and effect.

But here's the kicker: that’s not you. That’s just your avatar, but not your true self.

Free will isn’t about choosing to go left or right. True free will is about waking up outside of the script, seeing the ego for what it is: a loop.
But it's easy to mistake the loop for the self. You think you only live once because you’ve never felt the part of you that doesn’t die.

You don’t need a god to give you meaning. You are the meaning.
