I wonder why no surgeon/ortho wants to expand the mandible

I consulted a few surgeons/orthos for my teeth crowding and narrowness in the mandible. None of them would perform a msdo, and they only offered me normal braces that would take 1.5 years (brutal for a oldcel).

So i wonder why there are not options to expand the mandible and make space for expansion of the crowding.
