Same,I always turn off my mic and camera.And when teachers beg me to turn my camera I just recrod my hair or my roof above me.
Its just suffering,it makes me supper anxious and nervous and sad.
Everyone even absolute truecels have their camera on and they dont care whatsoever

if u want a trick just use a voice modulator or speak from diaphram, and sit behind a bright sunny window and let the camera focus on that, so ur face is dark
