As many of you know, Cerebrolysin is a mixture of proteins and amino acids derived from Pig brain. Which is not an issue in itself. The Issue is it's derived from the nervous system of a mammal.

Mammals have a specific protein calls prions. Prions are incredibly stable and you have tonnes of them in your brain right now. The issue is in the very small chance that they fold improperly, in which case they become useless.
So what? Well in a cruel way, these prions can infect other prion proteins, misfolding them too, causing a chain reaction where the mammal with the now new disease gets dementia. This disease is present in all mammals.
Now, despite it's 100% fatality rate and no way to prevent it, this disease is not scary in itself as it only has a 1 in 3,000 chance of happening. Cancer's death rate is 1 in 7, for reference, and car accident is 1 in 95.

But, it turns into a problem when you consume something from a mammal's nervous system. When the body dies, it no longer makes amino acids that stops the prions from folding improperly. Which is why it's slaughterhouse protocol to immediately vacuum out the nervous system of mammals right after death.

Some mammal's prions can't infect human prions, like deer and lamb. But some are proven to, like cows, which is actually the cause of the mad cow disease epidemic.

I believe pig prions are close enough to human prions to infect since pigs are very close in humans in term of biology.

I AM NOT SCHIZO. THIS TYPE OF THING HAS HAPPENED BEFORE IN HUMAN GROWTH HORMONE.

39 recorded cases so far of people getting prion disease from HGH coming from corpses, and dying. That's how HGH used to be collected. Nowadays, because of this, it's protocol for ALL HGH to be synthetic and non derived from cadavers.

I would hold off of Cerebrolysin until it becomes synthetic guys.

i remember we spoke about this in dms. this is valid, EXCEPT there have been 0 recorded CJD cases with cerebro. it is also very difficult to synthesize since it consists of so many components. the only way i see it becoming synthetic is IF people start getting prions, and even then who knows if they are able to accurately recreate it.
