Ideal age to start 5ar inhibitors?

If u have body hair and full beard it's safe to start? Many say dick growth goes till 20, but if u are already mostly developed, does DHT really play that big of a role? If I have closed growth plates, body hair(chest and belly) and full beard, it's safe to start? I haven't grown in years in height/dick, only my beard became a bit denser, but I don't rly care that much abt this aspect

I wouldn't start until at least 21. You should be safe at that point but it's hard to quantify how much of an impact a few extra years with increased DHT would do for your body & mind.

I am almost 19, but as I said I pretty much have close to a full beard+lots of body hair and closed growth plates

I would recommend waiting, but you gotta weigh out the pros and cons. If the cons are POSSIBLY changing your brain because you're inhibiting DHT and POSSIBLE loss of a cm or two off your penis size, then maybe just give it a second thought. At the end of the day we aren't doctors. There's a reason most doctors tell you to wait until you're older to start taking finasteride. Speak with a primary care doctor & a dermatologist. Get a few opinions if you really want.

There is no guarantee that finasteride will even help you retain your hair. I've seen a few people on r/tressless talk about finasteride not saving their hair. You are correct that you'll want to start on finasteride early, before the hair follicles die and can't be resurrected, but yeah, there are pros and cons to each approach.

Tbh I don't fear that my brain won't develope properly, but rather if my penis will be stunted for like 1-2cm! I appreciate the advice, but telling me to consult a derm is useless here in my country, I had lots of friends with like nw3 going to derms and they just give snake oil shampoos and say fin is too dangerous! And I doubt they will give me fin bcs they will say I am too young and I am not balding yet! I also don't plan to remain on fin in the future, if I have no side effects I will switch to dut 0,5mg and eventually to 2,5mg as in my country these meds are pretty cheap
