IQ is of an absurd interest to people here. It's like they're searching for any opportunity to jump in and prove how smart they are. I remember this also used to be the case in my Incels.is days. A bunch of ugly social outcasts flexing their mental abilities on an obscure forum, and for what? Most people getting laid and dating out there are of regular intelligence.

By providing cues to the interlocutor you help the other person, but not yourself. Unless you can derive something useful directly. From the way you write I more or less understand why you think this way, which is why you mentioned melody, when I am referring to usefulness .

Last time I took an IQ Test (Mensa Norway) I got about 112 -117 IQ.

It’s very outdated. Back then barrier to entry to college was higher. I’ve seen some newer study and even PhD wasn’t that high
I saw another comprehensive study of multiple careers
MDs, are average IQ 120, but most STEM workers are not very high actually. It was 105ish iirc but I mainly just remember doctors

But what does "stem worker" mean? Lab tech? Because I think you would struggle with a 105 IQ getting an engineering, math, physics or chemistry degree. Biology maybe not so much.

Another thing is that part of IQ is literally vocabulary/knowledge, so any high education will inflate it compared to pure “genetic”, but idk by how much.
