Everything starts from feet, problems with feet like overpronation, supination, flat feet, high arches or achilles tendon issues can cause your spine to not be aligned properly or even cause scoliosis which can make you shorter.I have some problems with spine because of underlying problems with feet. Underlying problem is gone, probably need stretches and go to the gym to retrain some muscles now. Not very confident that I have best neck posture also. So, in theory it can help me to squeeze some height. Any recommendations?
If I were you I'd go get an xray of the spine to check for scoliosis and also I'd go to a physical therapist and a chiropractor, that's an ideal way to find out if there's something wrong which is making you shorter.
In the gym you have to strenghten your whole body to avoid deformations like lumbar lordosis, most important are core and glutes.
For the neck do chin tucks, strenght exercises for the neck like neck curls with yo head hanging over the bed and force your body psychologically to be in an optimal posture no matter the situation, also do mewing.
